Local storage

Snipshot stores your preferences and draft code in your browser's localStorage. This data never leaves your device unless you share a URL.

URL sharing

When you share a Snipshot URL, settings and code are compressed into the URL hash. Hash fragments are not sent to our servers.

Third parties

Avatar lookups use unavatar.io when you enable watermark avatars. Export features may load ffmpeg.wasm from a CDN for video export.

Accounts and payments

If you sign in, we store account identity (email, name, avatar) and Pro entitlement status in our database (Neon). Payment processing is handled by Dodo Payments; we store payment IDs needed for entitlement.
